Flyingduck API Key
The Flyingduck API key is used to authenticate users with the Flyingduck platform. This key is essential for securely sending scan results and event data to Flyingduck. Whenever a scan is performed, the results are automatically posted to Flyingduck using the associated API key. This ensures that only authorized users can send data and that it is correctly attributed.
How to Create and Use Your API Key
To generate and use your Flyingduck API key:
- In the top-right corner of the portal, click on your organization name.
- From the dropdown menu, select API Keys.
- Click on the Create button.
- Provide a name for the API key (this is for display purposes only).
- Click Create again to generate the API key.

The generated API key will be shown only once. Make sure to copy and store it securely. You won’t be able to view it again later.
Once you have your API key:
- Use it to authenticate any events or scan data sent to the Flyingduck.
- Ensure your key is kept secure and never exposed in public repositories or logs.

Without a valid API key, scan results will not be accepted by the Flyingduck.
