Getting Started with Flyingduck

Flyingduck enables you to secure and monitor your codebase by integrating directly with your Version Control System (VCS).
This section will guide you through the initial setup — from creating an account to connecting your VCS.

1. Create an Account

  • Navigate to the Flyingduck Sign Up page.
  • Provide your name, email address, and password to register.
  • Verify your email by entering the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your inbox.

2. Configure Your Organization

  • After successful registration, you will be prompted to specify your organization name. Organization Name
    • Example: Amazon, Apple, Acme Corp.
  • The organization serves as an Account to group your VCS organisations, repositories, scan results, and assets.

3. Integrate Your VCS

  • Once your organization is configured, you will be redirected to the Integrations page. Organization Name
  • Connect your preferred VCS — GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
  • Important: Without a VCS integration, no repositories or results will be available in Flyingduck. See the list of supported integrations here: Available Integrations (opens in a new tab)

Integrating with your VCS is mandatory to unlock the full Flyingduck experience.

4. Explore Your Dashboard

  • After integration, Flyingduck automatically synchronizes your repositories.
  • You will gain access to:
    • Security scan results
    • Identified vulnerabilities
    • Assets inventory
  • From the Flyingduck, you can initiate scans, track issues, and manage remediation efforts.

Invite Users

Once your account is successfully created, you can invite other users to join your organization. For detailed instructions, refer to the Invite Users (opens in a new tab) section in the Flyingduck documentation.
